shooting. investigators say a man opened fire before melton could get out of his vehicle. captain melton is the second police officer in kansas city, kansas to be shot and killed.. in a little more than two months. hundreds said goodbye to a fallen officer in dallas tuesday. michael krol was one of five officers gunned down in dallas earlier this month - in an ambush that shook the nation. funeral arrangements are set for two of the three police officers killed in baton rouge over the weekend. services will be held friday and monday. three officers were shot to death in what's being called a "targeted assassination" sunday morning. a forum aimed at improving trust and communication between montgomery county police and residents will be held tonight. this will be the second of two such meetings. last night's meeting in silver spring focused on recent shootings of and by

virginia felons are now in the hands of the virginia supreme court.

hearing was held yesterday after republicans challenged governor terry mcauliffe's order to restore the voting rights for 206-thousand felons. they argue the state constitution requires governors to consider each felon case individually and not as a group. mcauliffe says the move is the right thing to do and disputes claim's that he signed the order to add democratic voters to help hillary clinton win virginia in november. since the governor issued the order in april, nearly 12-thousand felons have registered to vote in the upcoming election. a decision on the case is expected next month. 7 on your side getting results- for hundreds of students left in limbo because of missing test results. ap tests can determine much of a student's future- especially when it comes to setting up college courses. students at one high school in prince william county thought they'd know their scores july 7-th.
